Gods Love

Central to the message of the Gospel, is the love of God for mankind. His love is described in the Bible as a personal love for each one of us driven by his longing to have relationship with us. His love is described in these words;

'Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.Love never fails'

God's love is different to the love that we have for each other, it is a selfless love the extent of which was displayed in the sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ, in Jerusalem, 2014 years ago.

'But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.'

The reason for this sacrifice was to pay the price for sin, and to give us an opportunity of repairing our relationship with Him.

'God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him'.
